Nina Greipel is a 2004 WKU graduate and has worked as an intern at several papers during her college years. Immediately after graduation she was hired on the fantastic staff at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. But due to budget cuts she was laid off in 2007 and moved to Louisville to be closer to her family.

She has since adjusted her career from newspaper staff photojournalist to working in her family’s German restaurant and freelancing on the side.

While she primarily loves to shoot weddings, her website is ninaGphotography.com, she also freelances for various newspapers including The Courier-Journal and USA Today. Her work has been recognized by College Photographer of the Year, Kentucky Press Photographer Association, and National Press Photographers Association.

This will be her fifth consecutive year on staff. She has labbied the 2000 and 2001 Workshops, been a shooting participant in Cave City and editing participant in Bardstown. Basically, since 2000 she missed only the three years while living in Florida. As with every year she looks forward to being inspired by everyone’s talent.
