Come join us at a special edition of the Mountain Workshops, held remotely this year from October 19–23. Specific details are available at Mountain Remote and the application page will open soon. The event, which will include both photography and video workshops, requires no travel plans; you can work on your story from wherever you happen to be during this time. Our award-winning and energetic coaching staff will guide you one-on-one as you locate your story, gather content and produce a final edit of your narrative. We will publish each story on our website upon the conclusion of the workshops.
If you don't have the time to commit a week to work on a story with us this year, consider participating in Mountain Light, where we have intriguing interactive activities planned each evening thanks to our partnership with Nowhere, as we join with different collaborators like Video Consortium and Talking Eyes Media that will provide nightly education and inspiration on Oct. 19, 20 and 21, from 7-10 p.m. Central Standard Time.
These nightly sessions will be open to both Mountain Workshops participants (part of their workshops tuition) and the general public for $75 per night, or $150 for all three nights. All proceeds from these sessions will contribute to educational initiatives through WKU PJ and our nonprofit collaborators. If you attend any session, you will be able to return for free on Friday, Oct. 22, for an evening of entertainment and an opportunity to mingle with Mountain participants, faculty and staff.
Registration for these sessions will open soon!
We hope you will join us in celebrating our 46th year of storytelling at the Mountain Workshops!
