Book
While every Mountain Workshop produced material for a printed documentary of a community, lack of money prevented their publication. A generous grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation ensured publication of a book in 1997 and financed the launching of a picture-editing workshop.
The workshop has published a book every year since then, on the following Kentucky towns:
