Chris
Hutchins is a features writer at The Palm Beach Post,
based in sunny West Palm Beach, Fla.
Before he moved to the land of melanoma, Rolls Royces
and wicked cool nightclubs, Hutchins majored in print
journalism at Western Kentucky University. During
the summers between college school years, Hutchins
interned at various publications, including People
magazine in New York (where he saw a woman prace down
the street ... naked), the Cincinnati Enquirer (where
he interviewed The Dukes of Hazzard), and the Lexington
Herald-Leader (where he decided University of Kentucky
basketball fans need state-supplied perscriptions
of Ritalin and/or Prozac).
Hutchins was also an intern and freelance writer for
Wizard and Toyfare magazines, which cover the comic
book and toy industries, respectively. Hutchins has
a deep appreciation for the comic book medium. For
the past year, this mild mannered reporter has freelanced
for a Florida-based comic book company. Hutchins has
written several stories for its horror genre comic
(zombie invasions! vengeful spectres!), and has agreed
to create two superhero titles for the company.
Hutchins was born and raised in Louisville, Ky.
